====== Practical course methods in functional imaging ====== ==== Time and schedule ==== |Date and time: |**Course is postponed to summer semester. April 25 through May 6, 2022.** | | |11:00 to 18:00, times may vary depending on availability of rooms and equipment | |Schedule: |Block course, 10 days | |Location: |Room C00.031, Grosshadernerstr. 2, 82152 Martinsried (see Campus Martinsried Website http://www.biologie.uni-muenchen.de/anfahrt/index.html) \\ | ==== Registration ==== This semester, due to Covid-19 we can only allow a limited number of persons per room. Only registered participants can attend.\\ Please register by email to . ==== Summary ==== An introduction to the theory and practice of functional and structural neuroimaging, with a combination of lectures, hands on experience with MRI, and data analysis methods including: functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), morphometry and structural imaging including diffusion tensor imaging, simultaneous electroencephalography (EEG), and data analysis with e.g. SPM12, CAT12. This is a unique opportunity to get to know the newest techniques in the field of neuroimaging, and learn about the type of research that is being done in this area in a number of different faculties around Munich. The time plan of the course is below and can be downloaded with the objectives here (). ==== FAQ COVID-19 ==== Inside the building, we all have to wear FFP2 masks until arrival at the seat. It is allowed to take off the mask while seated, given that there is enough distance to other people. We kindly ask all of you to take a cost-free antigen test (consisting of combined swabbing throat first and then nasal cavity) before entering the course room on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the testing facility nearby in the LMU Biocenter , or at any other testing facility of your choice. If you have symptoms typical for Covid-19, we recommend a PCR test. ==== FAQ Other ==== If you wish to read more about attendance, ECTS credits and missed hours, afternoons, weeks, in our list of frequently asked questions. ^An upload link for the final projects will be added to the restricted access section.^ ==== Session titles ==== * Please find the session titles in the ==== Locations ==== * Room C00.031, Grosshadernerstr. 2, 82152 Martinsried (see Campus Martinsried Website http://www.biologie.uni-muenchen.de/anfahrt/index.html) * MRI Scanners, Campus Grosshadern, Marchioninistr. 15, 81377 München ==== List of speakers ==== * Dr. Rainer Bögle, Neurology * PD Dr. Guido Böning, Nuclear Medicine * Prof. Dr. Olaf Dietrich, Clinical Radiology * Prof. Dr. Peter zu Eulenburg, DSGZ & Neuroradiology * Dr. Virginia Flanagin, DSGZ * Dr. Victor Spoormaker, MPI Psychiatry * Dr. Thomas Stephan, Neurology * PD Dr. Christian Vollmar, Neurology ==== Organizing Lab ==== Arbeitsgruppe fuer funktionelle, strukturelle und molekulare Bildgebung\\ Neurologie und DSGZ-LMU\\ Klinikum der Universität München – Großhadern\\ Fraunhoferstr. 20\\ 82152 Planegg/Martinsried\\ ===== Downloads ===== ** Restricted access - slides and project information** ==== Suggested Reading ==== Human Brain Function, 2nd Edition -- PDF drafts of book chapters SPM12 manual COBIDAS Report (The part on preprocessing starts around pg. 53) Some Publications on MR Basics.
